Evaluation: Week 8 (08/04-14/04)

This week focused entirely on continuing my after effects production, trying to do as much as possible, and document my work on all shots for in-depth evidence.

This after effects production work took up the entire week, and allowed me to utilise all the skills I had learned during my experimentation stage, and even make use of some of my knowledge gathered in research.

I feel that this task taught me a lot about editing to music on a video project, as I was required to keep the music discrepancy in check at points while editing. I also learned how to utilise my after effects skills in the environment of a large project, keeping my composition clean and in check at all times.

My main weakness so far has been working with music, sometimes finding my project's video slipping away from the timing of the music. My previous after effects projects have not utilised music while editing, it being quite an after thought, so this is something I have had to learn to do even when in this final production stage.

The work carried out here has shaped my skills in understanding timing, something very important for a video project of this sort. My project going forward had been shaped by this work in after effects, and I can feel that with every new composition the work gets much easier, as I find myself getting used to all the techniques I am using with every shot.
